Hi, I’m Jolene. In 2020, I retired from a 27-year career in interior design. A severe Achilles injury and the COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult to continue, so I embraced a new chapter in life.
That new chapter is macrame. I’ve always loved hand-arts like crochet, knitting, and quilting, but I had never tried macrame. After ankle surgery left me sedentary and COVID housebound, I needed something to reignite my creativity and focus—and macrame did just that. It became my passion, blending my love of details and creativity perfectly (Virgo energy at its finest 😊).
Life is full of twists and turns, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me. I’d love for you to join me on this adventure! Subscribe to my newsletter and / or follow me on Social Media to stay connected.

My macrame art is a celebration of nature’s textures, colors, and intricate patterns. Drawing inspiration from floral elements—flowers, leaves, and vines—I blend realistic interpretations with creative abstraction to craft pieces that are both grounded and imaginative. Each work invites viewers to reconnect with the natural world, encouraging a deeper appreciation for its beauty and sustainability.
I predominantly work with recycled and natural materials, including upcycled garment industry fabrics, fibers like jute, hemp, and cotton, and found objects such as driftwood, branches, and vintage treasures. These materials not only embody my commitment to sustainability but also add unique character and history to every piece.
The creative process begins with the mounting element—an interesting branch or vintage object—which shapes the entire design. From there, I curate fibers and non-fiber elements, experiment with textures and colors, and meticulously craft floral and macrame structures. My goal is to create intricate details that draw viewers in, offering new discoveries with every look and challenging traditional perceptions of macrame.
For me, creating is an act of transformation—turning raw, overlooked materials into something beautiful and unexpected. Sharing this transformation with others and seeing the joy it brings is deeply fulfilling, making every piece a labor of love.
I value quality, craftsmanship, integrity, and affordability, and I strive to deliver these in everything I create. By starting with high-quality materials and focusing on meticulous details, I ensure every piece meets the highest standards.
